Independence Day and all the days that followed.

There was a plan.  But as all good things go, plans change.  Thanks to our lovely weather, friends decided not to attend the Balloon Glow with us.  At the last minute (8:20 p.m.) we ran home and back out the door to Coney Island.  Fred loved the balloons, the funnel cake and really wanted to ride some of rides- but the lines were too long to get tickets and not enough time to ride them.  Fred didn't like the fireworks at first, and poor Chris I think fed off of her anxiety, and made it worse.  She came to me, I explained how pretty skyflowers are and that they can't hurt when they are that high.  Then she started cheering.  The best part is they used Brian Tyler's music from Children of Dune!!!

Friday morning we planned on attending the Mt. Washington parade to enter Fred and her bike and walk the parade....but it was raining too much the decorations would have melted.  Ironic since she was going to wear her Dorothy costume- since we don't have much red, white and blue.

The afternoon we went to the Mullens.  Another Fianna family joined the gang and we let the kids run amuck.  Dress up, sparklers, and the cutest bee ever!  The men gathered and talked of hunting and gathering...oh, don't we wish.  It was all WoW speak.  So the mom's spent our time talking about what...our kids, our friends, and silly stuff the WoW men do. It was one of the best days of the summer so far.
To end our weekend, Fred and Miss B. closed out the weekend with swimming, bickering (like 2 and 4 year olds will do) and a little dinner.  Oh, and Heather and I had a good time too.

Photos Property of and Taken By Mikki - steal it, and I will cutchoo.
