Haunted Bus Ride- cancelled.
Gathering with old friends- cancelled.
Halloween Party- CANCELLED
All due to swine flu. Yes, kids, it went from me one week, then Fred, and now to Chris. So my adult Halloween Party was cancelled. All the work with building a well decorated Halloween House, has gone to waste. We have had swine flu (one at a time) for the entire month of October. I'm upset, but what are you really gonna do....
The good news is, Chris says he can fix my mac. The second good news is, it's going to be warm today so I can get out to take some pics.
Fred and I have managed to get out and go hiking with Squeaks, bake Funfetti Cupcakes, and facepaint our faces for a Halloween pre-run. And now I have it in my head that I need to build more props, in 5 days. I don't know why, but since the month has been ruined, I feel the need to snaz it up for the big day.

The worst thing that could happen...did.
No, I didn't die from swine flu. But my macbook did. I hope that it can be fixed or at least my pictures and music can be recovered. But I will probably be maintaining a longer radio silence than normal.
We have our Halloween party this Saturday, which I hope goes well. Once again, I'm a witch. But at least this year I'm 30lbs lighter and the skirt is above my knees!!! Big improvement since Fred has been born. But the real surprise will be .........(TBA)
I'm nervous about the party since it seems alot of people aren't coming. But any excuse to carve a few pumpkins early and eat too much candy.
As we speak Fred is crying that it's Halloween and not in two weeks and dosen't want to go to bed cause she'll miss 'Trick or reat'.

Oh great plague, how do I loathe the....(Updated)
UPDATE: Yup, I do have swine flu. On anti-biotics, another day of rest. Fred is with the grandparents (hopefully not exposing them, but they say me last week when I would have caught it.) All together I feel bad, not too bad though. I've had worse flu's and even worse common colds. Here's hoping I can get better by this weekend!
Well kids, there is a good chance that I have the ole' piggie flu. I've been down for the count for two days now, can no longer stand the taste of Nyquil, and waiting until 7 am Monday to go the Dr. to see IF this is really swine flu. Luckily, I don't think I'm bad enough to go to the ER to get diagnosed. They've got their hands full anyway.
But, once again, I have finished tombstones sitting on my porch, that need to be staked into the ground. I wanted to go to the Halloween stores to round off some of my Halloween projects. Plus, I was supposed to get up in the morning and raid my local ST Vincent De Paul since the stuff in their window's will be availible for purchase.
Here's hoping Fred and Chris don't get what I have!!!

My graveyard is dug up....
Our street and surrounding neighborhoods are getting all new gas lines this month. Today, they managed to knock out just my main gas line. So I sit here watching, as they dig up what was going to be my graveyard!! Of course where they have dirt mounds, will make it all the more authentic (I hope).
But I have made major progress. I have Five new tombstones that just got finished today. I rag-rolled the fine details on just in time to find out I can't take a shower since the hot water heater is out. But I have new tombstones. My father in law brought me more styrofoam the other day after he stepped on some of my old tombstones that were waiting to be repaired.
I also built a new grim reaper (although he looked more like a Death-Eater or a Dementor next to the Tom Riddle tombstone). My husband built the base after my first one broke. These are the things I need him for!!! I can't built bases well. And he cost me $5 to make. The wood is an old futon that we have saved for props building, the fabric is a queen size mosquito net, and the skull was a $5 Michael's purchase earlier this season. I will have pictures up as soon as the Gas Co. is done digging!!!
