After Halloween last year, things pretty much carried on as normal. Thanksgiving came and went, Black Friday shopping, birthday dinners, Christmas and New Years all went off without a hitch. January brought us snow and ice storms and more high winds. The weather was active, but never made us truly cold.
We finally began moving rooms so the second half of our house would be of use. The upstairs had become storage and a failed attempt at a studio. We finished our master bedroom the last week of February, and began clearing the second bedroom downstairs. During our Saturday afternoon break for errands, we were involved in a car accident. I became bedridden with whiplash for a few days. Thanks to family and friends, the room was cleared, groceries were delivered and my little one was well taken care of!
March brought recovery time, and then the loss of a family member. My cat Icky, 13, died of kidney failure. It was a sad morning for Fred, Chris and I. We all miss her including the dogs. We are slowly looking at shelters to add to the family. Fred wants a black kitty like Kiki's cat Gigi. We had to inform her that she couldn't name her Gigi, since we already had a D.G. So we'll see how that goes. I want a long hair calico. Trying to convince my dear, dear husband that his girls each need a kitty, shouldn't be too hard.
And now we reach April, and well, the transmission on our van had died. Luckily, we found a way to get it fixed in a timely manner and still be able to continue on with our big spring plans.
As far as our upcoming projects, we have finishing Fred's room, re-decorating the entire house, building a garden for our front yard, a fence across a driveway, creating a studio for me, begin preschool at home, gardening, growing corn, pumpkins and building pumpkins and tombstones for Halloween! It's a big list, but we are going to shoot high and hopefully reach the middle!
So, there you have it, the beginning of our spring. I will try and update twice a week. Pictures will come soon. I currently can't find my good memory cards, and the current does not read very well in our card reader.
