Green Thumb Day

Today started off somewhere last night with Fred being sick with a fever and lasted until about 10 am.  She is still groggy, running a head temp but her body has cooled down. Fred has spent most of today hiding in our bedroom, coming out for water, food and a little attention.  But more or less, she has held our bedroom hostage as her personal sick bay, telling us to "Go Away" after she settles in. I think she has watched Secret of Nimb 4 times today!
She did venture outside for a bit to help transplant the Green Gold Spider Plants into larger pots and but the babies into dirt finally.  First there were two- now we have five!
I went to Lowe's to get dirt (which buying dirt still yanks my chain)!  I really should take buckets in the dark of night like Randall did and dig it up from the woods in Ault Park.  Yes kids, he really did.  While at Lowe's I hit the plant clearance bin, picked up another Daylily, Black-eyed Susans', Purple verbera and some pink perennial I've forgotten the name of.  I came home and cleared and area of the back garden of ivy, poison ivy and other random weeds.  Which, if you ever come over- you will see the wars I've declared on the English Ivy.  Another year or two and we would not have been able to open doors.
